The third day of the ongoing Nagaland Police recruitment rallies saw large-scale screening of candidates across multiple districts, as authorities continue a systematic and transparent selection process.
In Zunheboto, candidates bearing chest numbers 1608 to 2645 were screened at the Police Reserve Ground. Officials clarified that chest numbers include female candidates and do not directly reflect the exact number of participants. Recruitment for female candidates in the district is scheduled separately on 10 January 2026. Authorities stressed that the chest numbering system is designed for administrative convenience and does not indicate day-wise attendance.
At Noklak, the third day of recruitment was held at the Parade Ground. Candidates who qualify in medical and physical tests will be shortlisted for the written examination, scheduled for 20 January 2026 at Christian High School, Noklak, based on the ratio fixed by the Department Recruitment Board.
In Mokokchung, the running test has been extended till 10 January. So far, 1,186 male and female applicants are vying for 133 available posts. Officials noted that the tests could not be completed as planned, and the process is expected to conclude on Saturday. (With inputs from DIPR)
