The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has reiterated that all foreign nationals visiting Nagaland must compulsorily obtain a Protected Area Permit (PAP).

In a press note issued on Tuesday, the police said that despite repeated advisories following the withdrawal of PAP relaxation, several foreign nationals continue to enter the state without the mandatory permit. The police have directed the public, government departments, travel agents, hotels and other entities facilitating the stay of foreign nationals to strictly verify valid PAP documents before providing any service.

The advisory further stressed the need for strict compliance with the existing rules and regulations governing the entry and stay of foreign nationals in Nagaland.
