The Nagaland Police has appealed to landlords and tenants across the state to register promptly through the newly launched Tenant Registration App. The initiative is aimed at streamlining the submission and verification of tenant and landlord details through OTP-based authentication.
A press release from the police stated, “Diligent and timely registration of all tenants by the landlords and tenants will aid efforts by the State Government and enforcement agencies in effective detection of anti-social elements and illegal immigrants and to take preventive measures for the safety of the citizens of the state and well-being of society.”
The app is currently available for download on the Nagaland Police website at https://police.nagaland.gov.in and will soon be accessible on the Google Play Store. House owners can also obtain the app or APK file directly from their nearest police station.
The police urged citizens to approach their local police stations for any assistance related to the Tenant Registration App. The press release stated that registration through the app is free of cost, and no fees or charges should be paid by any user.
