The Department of Power, Nagaland, has announced that the 220 kV Single Circuit (S/C) New Kohima-Mokokchung Transmission Line will be test charged at 11:00 AM on February 12, 2025, and will remain charged thereafter.

The transmission line passes through multiple villages and towns, including Zhadima, Teichüma, Botsa, Tsiemekhuma, Tseminyu, Nsunyu, Tesophenyu, Ehunnu, Terogunyu, Tsaphimi, Kitami, Settsu, Alichen, Longkhum, Ungma, Sastami, Maromi, Ajiqami, V.K. Town, Phisami, Izheto, Mukami, Philimi, and Shena Old.

The department has strictly warned the public not to touch or go near the transmission line for safety reasons, stating that anyone doing so will be at their own risk. The Department of Power will not be held responsible for any untoward incident arising from non-compliance with this advisory.

The test charging has been approved by the Chief Electrical Inspector, Nagaland, via clearance No. CEI/Insptn-4/2024-25/T/180 dated 31.01.2025.
