The Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee has expressed strong condemnation of what it described as defamatory accusations made by Rajya Sabha MP S Phangnon Konyak against Congress leader and Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi.
In a statement issued by its president, Odikumla, the state Mahila Congress Committee accused the MP of attempting to malign and smear the reputation of Rahul Gandhi through what it called “blatant lies and fabricated charges.” The Mahila Congress termed the allegations as libelous, adding that such accusations would not be tolerated.
The Mahila Congress urged Phangnon Konyak to “henceforth think twice before levelling such damning accusations without verifiable evidence to support her claims.”
