Mokokchung, Sept. 3 (MTNews): The Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress, led by president Lima Lemtur, held a poster campaign today in Kohima between Razho Point and Ao Church to protest the BJP government’s excessive prices for essential commodities such as LPG, gasoline, diesel, and cooking oil.

Lima told Mokokchung Times that the protest was intended to educate people about the differences in governance between the BJP and the Congress, as well as to show how the governing party has been looting the common people.

“They are looting money from the taxpayers. The common people are suffering as a result of this. How can ordinary people survive when essential commodities are so expensive?” he questioned.

When asked how he feels about the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) blaming rising fuel costs on the Russia-Ukraine crisis, he responded that they are “excuses.”
“All they’re doing is creating excuses. Diesel and gasoline are currently the cheapest in the world,” he remarked.

The poster campaign is part of the Congress’s anti-inflation effort, “Mehangai Mukht Bharat.” The Indian National Congress has called a Chalo Delhi today at Ramlila Maidan New Delhi, to fight and raise voices against huge inflation.
