Nagaland has been allocated Rs 175.8 crore for infrastructure projects in the health and education sectors under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region’s (MDoNER) schemes between 2022-23 and December 31, 2025. The funds are part of a broader Rs 3,601.06 crore sanctioned for projects across the North Eastern states.

According to data shared by Minister of State Dr Sukanta Majumdar in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Nagaland has four education projects and three health projects approved, with Rs 71.66 crore released so far. Of this amount, Rs 48.54 crore has been utilized for implementation as of December 31, 2025. However, details of the projects such as their names, amounts, and locations were not mentioned.

Other states receiving major allocations include Assam with Rs 1,532.77 crore, Manipur with Rs 448.7 crore, and Tripura with Rs 501.32 crore sanctioned for similar projects. Arunachal Pradesh was allocated Rs 240.66 crore, Meghalaya Rs 44.31 crore, Mizoram Rs 81.68 crore, Sikkim Rs 323.89 crore, and ‘Other Agencies’ Rs 251.93 crore during the same period.
