According to the provisional data released by the finance ministry on Tuesday, India’s tax collection from the sale of goods and services increased to Rs 1.51 trillion in October, driven by festive demand, higher rates, and improved tax compliance.
Meanwhile, Nagaland’s GST revenue in October 2021 was 38 crore, but it increased by 13% in October 2022 to 43 crore.
The revenue for October is the second-highest monthly collection, next only to April 2022, PIB reported and added that it is for the second time the gross GST collection has crossed Rs. 1.50 trillion marks.
