Mokokchung, August 2 (MTNews): According to the most recent Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) 2018–19, there were 40,579 registered food processing industries in the country.
Additionally, according to the 73rd round of the National Sample Survey (NSS) 2015–16, the unincorporated/unregistered food processing sector contained 24.59 lakh enterprises. There were 3,642 enterprises and 20 food processing industry units in Nagaland.
This information was given by Minister of State for Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Prahlad Singh Patel in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
