Nagaland has recorded 684 ODF Plus Model villages under the Swachh Bharat Mission Grameen Phase II, as per data reported on the Integrated Management Information System of SBM(G).

According to figures placed in the Lok Sabha, Nagaland has a total of 1,425 villages. Of these, 684 have been declared ODF Plus Model villages. A total of 885 villages are covered with Solid Waste Management arrangements, while 1,180 villages have Liquid Waste Management arrangements as on February 10, 2026.

The data, reported by States and Union Territories on the IMIS portal of SBM(G), was shared by the Ministry of Jal Shakti in Parliament.

SBM(G) Phase II is being implemented from 2020-21 to 2026-27 with a focus on sustaining Open Defecation Free status and converting villages into ODF Plus Model villages through solid and liquid waste management and visual cleanliness.

The information was provided by Minister of State for Jal Shakti V Somanna in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.
