Kohima, 30 January (MTNews): Nagaland government has appointed TJ Longkumer, retired DGP Nagaland as the State Election Commissioner. In a Nagaland Gazette notification issued today, it stated that Governor of Nagaland is pleased to appoint TJ Longkumer, retired DGP Nagaland as the State Election Commissioner with effect from the date of assuming charge for a period of five years or till he attains the age of 65 years or until further orders or whichever is earlier.
The notification stated that the terms and conditions of Longkumer’s appointment as the State Election Commissioner will be regulated in accordance with the State Election Commissioner (Condition of Service) Rule, 2023.
