This training is a key part of the LIC HFL special project titled “Operationalizing Skill Education aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curricular Framework 2023 in Nagaland.” The initiative is supported by LIC HFL CSR and organized by Lend A Hand India, which serves as the technical and knowledge partner for Samagra Shiksha Nagaland.

NBSE Chairperson Rangumbuing Nsarangbe, who graced the workshop, stressed the importance of skill education in strengthening the state’s educational framework. He encouraged school leaders to create environments that support effective implementation of skill-based learning. He noted that these pilot schools are expected to become early adopters of multi-sector skill education. He was joined by Dziesevolie Tsurho, Academic Officer, NBSE.

The training team from Lend A Hand India led the sessions, focusing on skill development in the Healthcare and Fashion sectors. The sessions involved interactive and practical components to engage participants meaningfully.

This workshop acts as a foundation for a more extensive four-day training programme scheduled from September 9 to 12. That training will focus on Fashion, Healthcare and Coding, and is aimed at vocational trainers and teachers who will directly implement the pilot in classrooms.

Lend A Hand India is a non-profit organisation committed to integrating skill education with mainstream academics. Through this partnership, the organisation aims to empower students across Nagaland with practical skills that prepare them for future career opportunities.
