The Nagaland Science Mission (NSM) has announced a special call for research proposals in multi-disciplinary areas of Science and Technology (S&T) aimed at addressing location-specific problems and other potential areas for research and development (R&D). The initiative focuses on bringing out solutions and products through S&T applications in Nagaland.

The NSM invites project proposals from indigenous Naga scientists, technologists, engineers, and researchers working in academic institutions, registered societies, R&D institutions, and universities that possess adequate in-house infrastructure and facilities for R&D.

The grant will cover laboratory consumables and minor scientific equipment only. The project duration will be for two years. Proposals will be evaluated by a Technical Expert Committee, which will select the best submissions based on the technical merit of the Detailed Project Report (DPR). The committee’s decision will be final and binding.

Interested applicants can obtain the prescribed proposal format and general guidelines from the NSM office at the Directorate of Science & Technology, Below Civil Secretariat, Kohima, or by emailing NSM.nagaland@gmail.com.
