Team Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) has made a remarkable showing in the ongoing AITWPF 12 National Traditional Wrestling & Pankration Championship 2024, clinching 5 gold and 2 silver medals in the Men and Women Cadet categories.
In the Cadet Men’s category, Mulukhro Nakro secured gold in the 66 kg weight class, while Kevilekho Peki and Nubasa Rhakho followed suit, winning gold in the 59 kg and 62 kg categories, respectively. Mulübi Dzüdo brought home a silver medal in the 59 kg category.
Mulübi Dzüdo also won a silver medal in the 59 kg weight category.
The Cadet Women’s category also saw remarkable performances, with Külüngolü Nakro and Khrielhounuo Thevo each winning gold in the 42 kg and over 60 kg categories. Vetavolu Puyo-o earned a silver medal in the +60 kg category.
The medal ceremony for the day’s winners will take place on a later date.
The competition will continue with the Senior category for both Men and Women, scheduled to run until October 6. The NWA has urged all Nagas to support the team with their prayers as they strive for further success in the championship.
