The Government of Nagaland, through its Finance Department, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Bank of India on 28th August 2025 at the Finance Department Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, to integrate the SBIePay Payment Gateway with the State’s Electronic Government Receipt Accounting System (e-GRAS).
The integration will allow citizens, businesses, and institutions to make seamless online payments for Government receipts, including taxes, fees, duties, and other revenues. e-GRAS, a unified digital platform, will now support multiple digital payment options, including Net Banking, Debit and Credit Cards, and UPI. This ensures ease of use, wider accessibility, and real-time settlement and reconciliation of receipts with the State Treasury.
The signing of the MoU marks a significant milestone in Nagaland’s digital transformation journey. By linking e-GRAS with SBIePay, the State Government reinforces its commitment to transparency, efficiency, and citizen-centric service delivery. The initiative aligns with the Government’s broader vision of Digital India and e-Governance, paving the way for full-scale operationalization of e-GRAS across Nagaland.
