Kohima, December 15 (MTNews): The Nagaland State Food Commission, launched on 24 November 2022, has been set up as per the provisions of Section 16 of the National Food Security Act 2013 which came into being in 2013. NFSA 2013 has been implemented in Nagaland since 2016.
The main function of the Commission is to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the NFSA-2013 in the State and advise the Government, their agencies and NGOs involved in the implementation of food and nutrition related schemes. The SFC will also either suo-moto or on receipt of complaints inquire into the violation of the entitlement under such schemes.
Complaints and grievances by beneficiaries can be addressed either directly to the Commission or to the District Grievance Redressal Officer (ADC Hq. of the District).
