Kohima, 12 June (MTNews): The Nagaland State Lotteries has  introduced the ‘Dear’ lottery tickets in the state, a new offering by Nagaland State Lotteries. The launch took place at the company’s office in Golaghat Road, Dimapur today, marking the first time these tickets have been made available in the state.

 

S Nagaraj, representing Future Gaming and Hotel Services Private Limited, the exclusive distributor for Nagaland State, expressed that the state government has entrusted their firm with the responsibility of distributing and marketing Nagaland State’s traditional paper lotteries.

 

According to him, the GST revenue from state lottery tickets has become a major contributor to both the state and central governments. Nagaraj said the lottery category falls under the 20 percent GST component and the Nagaland state GST income will increase depending upon the sale of Dear Lottery Tickets.

 

These Nagaland State Lotteries tickets are currently being marketed in the states of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Punjab, Sikkim, and Meghalaya.
