Para Games expands with five new disciplines
The Nagaland State & Para Games (NSPG) 2026, earlier known as the Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games (NOPG), has added five disciplines to its programme, with the Games scheduled from November 2 to 14 in Chümoukedima and Dimapur.
According to a press release issued by the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) on Monday, the newly included disciplines are lawn tennis (men), sepaktakraw (men and women), table tennis (men and women), volleyball (men and women), and wrestling (men and women).
The NOA stated that the list of medal events for all disciplines will be notified separately. Contingents will be constituted from the 17 districts of Nagaland.
Registration of players and teams will be conducted online from October 3 to 15. The NOA said no change of names will be permitted once players are registered.
The Games Organising Committee will provide accommodation, local transportation, food and technical arrangements for competitions in the host cities. Dates for arrival and departure of contingents will be notified separately.
The NOA also announced that the Games will henceforth officially be referred to as the Nagaland State & Para Games (NSPG) 2026, replacing the earlier nomenclature Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games (NOPG) 2026.
The revised nomenclature is to be used in all official communications, notifications, correspondence, publicity materials and other documents relating to the Games with immediate effect.
