The Nagaland Super League (NSL) Governing Body has officially announced the launch of the league’s inaugural season, set to take place from January 28 to March 31, 2025. This landmark event aims to showcase Nagaland’s football talent and passion, offering fans across the state a season filled with exciting competition.
The league’s opening day, January 28, holds special significance as it marks the 107th birth anniversary of Dr T Ao, a fitting tribute to one of Nagaland’s most celebrated sports icons. This special occasion will mark the beginning of a significant milestone in the promotion of sports in the state, the NSL Governing Body said.
The Governing Body also said that the NSL will provide a competitive platform for both emerging and established football talent, offering thrilling football action for fans across the state. The league’s inaugural season will be a celebration of sports, unity and the enduring legacy of Dr T Ao, it added.
“We look forward to an exciting season of sportsmanship and to further advancing the future of football in Nagaland,” it also said.
