Kohima, 3 October (MTNews): The Confederation of All Nagaland State Services Employees’ Association (CANSSEA), the All Nagaland School Teachers Association (ANSTA), the Nagaland Government Higher Secondary School Employees’ Association (NGHSSEA), and the All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers Association (ANGPTA) under the School Education Department have decided to temporarily suspend their agitation. This decision comes in response to CANSSEA’s request to mediate with the concerned authorities and resolve the matter amicably as soon as possible.

This decision was reached following a joint meeting held on 3 October 2023 at the CANSSEA Conference Hall in Kohima, involving CANSSEA, ANSTA, NGHSSEA, and ANGPTA. The meeting was convened by CANSSEA in light of the three associations’ request to the government for the timely release of teachers’ salaries. However, on 25 September 2023, the Principal Director of School Education issued a notification cautioning employees about disciplinary rules outlined in Rule 25 of the Nagaland Government Servants Conduct Rules, 1968.
