The Nagaland Rifle Association (NRA) has announced that the 5th Pre State Shooting Championship 2026 in small bore rifle and pistol events will be held at the Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukhuri-I, Dimapur, from June 16 to 19.
The championship will be organized by the Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur, and conducted under national and ISSF rules. Participation is open to registered shooters from affiliated district rifle associations, clubs and academies across the state.
According to the notification, entries must be submitted through respective district associations or clubs. Registration with normal fee will be accepted till 06:30 PM on June 1, while late entries with triple fee will be accepted till 06:30 PM on June 3. The competition will feature individual events across multiple categories including senior, junior, youth, sub youth, masters, senior masters and super masters.
NRA stated that shooters must possess a valid Shooter ID, while those without one have been asked to apply through the NRAI website. Protest fees have been fixed at Rs 200, with Rs 500 for appeals to the jury.
The four-day event will include competitions in 10 metre air rifle and pistol, 50 metre rifle and 25 metre pistol disciplines. Entry fees range from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per match depending on the category.
NRA said discipline on and off the field is essential, adding that shooting practice in hotels is strictly prohibited. Participants are required to report at the range 90 minutes before their scheduled time.
