The Home Department, Government of Nagaland, has issued guidelines for Self-Enumeration under Phase-I of Census 2027, introducing an online system for citizens to submit household data ahead of the House-to-House Houselisting Operations.
According to the notification issued on May 25, 2026, the self-enumeration window will remain open from June 16 to June 30, 2026. Citizens have been encouraged to complete the process within the 15-day period through the official portal https://se.census.gov.in.
Self-Enumeration will allow households to directly enter their details online and generate a unique 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID (SE ID), which will later be verified during field enumeration by census officials.
The government said the digital process is expected to streamline data collection and improve accuracy ahead of Census 2027. Households will be required to provide the SE ID during the Enumerator’s visit for validation.
If the submitted details match the census records, the self-enumerated data will be accepted; otherwise, fresh data will be collected during field verification.
The state government has urged citizens and officials to complete the process accurately within the stipulated timeline.
