The preliminary rounds of the U-23 Basketball trials for the first-ever U-23 National Basketball Championships, to be held in Guwahati, Assam, have concluded successfully in Kohima and Dimapur. A total of 93 men and 42 women participated across both venues. In Dimapur, 48 men and 19 women attended the trials at Tetso College Basketball Court, while Kohima saw 45 men and 23 women participate at Don Bosco College Basketball Court.
Following the preliminary selections, 28 men and 24 women have been shortlisted to compete in the final trials at the Medziphema Indoor Basketball Stadium on March 1, 2025, commencing at 11:00 AM. All selected players are required to bring their original Aadhaar card and birth certificate for verification.
Sentiningsang Longkumer, Hon. Secretary, Nagaland Basketball Association informed that further details regarding the final selections and the upcoming National Championships will be announced shortly.
