Mokokchung, June 30 (MTNews):According to the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP) 2020 report, which was released on Thursday by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, seven states – Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Punjab, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu – were classified as “top achievers” in the Ease of Doing Business ranking of states and union territories.

 

The Achievers category includes Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh.

 

While Assam, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Jharkhand, Kerala, Rajasthan and West Bengal have been placed in the Aspirers category and the Emerging Business Ecosystems category includes Andaman & Nicobar, Bihar, Chandigarh, Daman & Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Puducherry, and Tripura.

 

“The ease of doing business today (has) seen a lot of right changes and adaptations which were required for understanding what is happening for business on the ground,”Sitharaman remarked in response to the occasion.

 

The minister said that she was pleased to see that innovative approaches were being introduced year after year to make the rating far more robust and real-time.
She emphasized that governments support healthy competition among one another and are not opposed to the idea of being evaluated in any form.

 

According to a later tweet from Sitharaman, twenty additional states and union territories have institutionalized the Central Inspection System, completely built online platforms, and improved service delivery. This has improved the convenience of doing business.
