The ICAR Tribal Sub Plan (ICAR-TSP), School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), Nagaland University, successfully conducted a One-Day Entrepreneurship Workshop to encourage innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among students. The event was facilitated by Damaso Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
Part of the ICAR-TSP project “Development of Soft Skills, Professional, Business, and Entrepreneurial Skills to Enhance Employability among Students,” the workshop aims to strengthen the employability and entrepreneurial potential of Scheduled Tribe students.
The event began with a session chaired by Dr. Debika Nongmaithem, Assistant Professor and Co-PI, ICAR-TSP. Dr. Mary N. Odyuo, Associate Professor and PI, ICAR-TSP, presented a programme report, while Dr. Saurabh Sharma, Associate Professor and Co-PI, ICAR-TSP, shared motivating messages.
The technical session, led by international trainer Piyush Chandra, provided insights on starting entrepreneurial ventures, building resilience, and exploring small-scale business opportunities.
Conducted in hybrid mode, students from Nagaland University and Japfu Christian College attended physically, while others joined virtually. The workshop concluded with an interactive Wrap-Up and Reflection session.
The initiative highlights ICAR-TSP and Nagaland University’s commitment to equipping students with the knowledge and confidence to pursue non-traditional careers and contribute meaningfully to society.
