Nagaland University is participating in the 39th Inter-University North East Zone Youth Festival 2025–26 by sending a contingent of 29 students along with two faculty coordinators. The festival, popularly known as UNIFEST, is being hosted by Assam Don Bosco University at its Tapesia campus from February 16 to 20, 2026.
UNIFEST brings together students from universities across the North East to compete and showcase their talents in various cultural and artistic disciplines. The event serves as a platform for young participants to demonstrate creativity while fostering interaction, cultural exchange and healthy competition among institutions in the region.
According to the university, the festival aims to promote artistic excellence and encourage values such as unity, discipline and mutual respect among students. Participation in the zonal youth festival also provides exposure to diverse cultural expressions and helps strengthen bonds among universities in the North East.
The contingent from Nagaland University will take part in multiple events during the five-day programme as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support extracurricular engagement and holistic student development.
