Nagaland University and Dibrugarh University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on August 20, 2026, to strengthen academic, research and institutional cooperation.
The agreement provides a framework for academic interaction, knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives involving faculty members, researchers and students of both universities.
Nagaland University was represented by Prof Joy Das, Finance Officer (In-charge), while Dibrugarh University was represented by Vice-Chancellor Prof Jiten Hazarika, Registrar Dr Paramananda Sonowal and Head of the Department of Commerce Dr Bipasha Chetiya, along with faculty members.
Three research scholars from Nagaland University’s Department of Commerce, who were attending a national seminar at Dibrugarh University, were also present.
The MoU covers faculty, researcher and student exchanges, internships, training, joint research and publications, academic courses, conferences, seminars and capacity-building programmes. It also promotes sharing of academic expertise and resources.
Specific initiatives will be implemented through mutually agreed project plans or separate agreements, subject to institutional approvals. The MoU will remain valid for five years.
