Mokokchung, 8 January (MTNews): The Department of Chemistry, Nagaland University has initiated a transformative study tour for its MSc Chemistry students in the culturally rich city of Varanasi. Led by Prof. Ambrish Singh, the students have embarked on a journey aimed at enhancing their academic understanding while immersing themselves in the spiritual and cultural heritage of Varanasi.
“The tour commenced with an auspicious start as the students arrived in Varanasi, immersing themselves in the city’s holiness and spirituality,” an update received here said. Their exploration began with a visit to the renowned SHEAT College of Engineering, where they had the privilege to meet and interact with the institution’s Manager, Mr. Naveen Singh. This interaction provided invaluable insights into the academic and professional landscape of engineering education in the region, the update said.
Further, the students had the opportunity to engage with the Football Coach and Manager of UPSA, further broadening their perspectives beyond the realm of academics. In a gesture of warm hospitality, the SHEAT group of institutions presented the visiting students with a memorable memento, fostering a sense of camaraderie and appreciation for cultural exchange.
Professor Ambrish Singh, the lead coordinator of this enlightening tour, ensured that the visit was not only educational but also deeply engaging. The students then proceeded to explore the banks of the sacred River Ganga, where they embarked on a serene boat ride to witness the breathtaking ghats of Varanasi, an experience etched with spiritual significance and historical importance.
