A total of 369 shooters—245 men and 124 women—from six North Eastern states participated in the just-concluded XI North East Zone Shooting Championship 2024. The participants included 144 from Assam, 4 from Arunachal Pradesh, 73 from Manipur, 52 from Meghalaya, 28 from Mizoram, 37 from Nagaland, 25 from the Assam Rifle Marksmanship Unit, and 6 from the Army Marksmanship Unit.

The championship was organized by the Aries Rifle and Pistol Shooting Academy, Khelo India Centre, Dimapur, and conducted by the Nagaland Rifle Association under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India at the Aries Sports Complex Shooting Ranges, Bamunpukhuri-I, from 25 September to 1 October 2024.

Nagaland secured a total of 12 medals: 5 Gold, 5 Silver, and 2 Bronze.
