The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) is set to participate in the Senior National Wrestling Championship 2024, scheduled to be held in Bengaluru, Karnataka, from December 6 to 8.
According to a press statement issued by NWA Joint Secretary Kuzhovesa Soho, NWA President Vivolie Kezo will lead the team as Team Director, with Kikhwesul Thokhwe serving as Team Coach. The wrestlers representing Nagaland are as follows:
Men:
1. Kusayi Tsutso (74 Kg)
2. Nutso Yhobu (57 Kg)
Women:
1. Nosezonu Kuotsu (50 Kg)
2. Vikono Kezo (55 Kg)
3. Vizoseno Kiso (57 Kg)
To bless the wrestlers, a brief prayer fellowship session was held by NWA officials over dinner at the Kohima residence of NWA President Vivolie Kezo on December 3, 2024. The team departed for Bengaluru on December 4 and is scheduled to return to Nagaland on December 10.
The NWA has appealed to all wrestling enthusiasts and the Naga community to uphold the participating team in their prayers.
