Nagaland: WSH, ENPUD hold coordination meeting, reaffirm commitment to unity and cooperation

The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Dimapur (ENPUD) held a coordination meeting at the WSH Hiyam, Chekiye, Chümoukedima, on June 20 to discuss ways to strengthen ties and promote cooperation between the two organisations.

According to a joint statement, the meeting focused on the long-standing relationship and historical connections shared by the Western Sumi Hoho and the Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Dimapur.

During the deliberations, members of both organisations reviewed their existing ties and discussed measures to further strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation. The two bodies unanimously agreed to continue upholding the spirit of unity and shared interests between their respective communities.

The organisations also resolved to work together on issues concerning the welfare, peace, unity and common interests of the people represented by the two apex bodies.

“The house unanimously agreed to continue to uphold and strengthen the spirit of oneness and shared interests in all aspects between the two organisations,” the statement said.

It further stated that both organisations had resolved to work unitedly towards the welfare, peace, unity and common interests of their people in the future.

The joint resolution adopted at the meeting was signed by Western Sumi Hoho president Tokaho Suhoi Neho and Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Union Dimapur president NT Thamlong Phom.
