The Nagaland Wushu Association (NWA) has stepped up preparations for the upcoming Nagaland Olympic and Paralympic Games 2026, holding an emergency General Body Meeting on March 17 at Talimeren Hall, Nagaland Olympic Association Office Complex, Kohima.

The meeting, attended by officials from nine district Wushu associations, focused on key aspects related to the conduct of Wushu events during the Games. The house resolved to urge all affiliated units to participate actively and field their best athletes, with an eye on selecting talent for the Northeast Games 2026. It also decided to organize a technical session to train and equip officials for the smooth conduct of competitions.

Meanwhile, in a significant development, the association also inducted Tseminyu District Wushu Association and Niuland District Wushu Association, taking the total number of affiliated district units to 14.
