Akuto A Tuccu, President of the Tribal India Chamber of Commerce and Industries (TICCI), Nagaland State Chapter, represented Nagaland prominently at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Annual Business Summit 2025 held today at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.

Joining the TICCI national team, including Dr Mughavi, President of the Delhi Chapter and North East In-Charge, and Mahesh Purty of the Orissa State Chapter, Tuccu emphasized Nagaland’s commitment to inclusive business growth and sustainable development in India’s northeastern region.
The summit was inaugurated by Rajnath Singh, Union Defence Minister, and focused on responsible capitalism and economic resilience. Key sessions addressed themes such as “Innovating for Climate-Resilient Agriculture” and “Sustainable Mobility: Innovation and Integration,” reflecting India’s push toward sustainable solutions.
Notable speakers included Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilisers, and Ms. Ewa Suwara, Deputy Head of Delegation, European Union, who shared perspectives on healthcare advancements and circular economy models. Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, outlined India’s vision for a digitally connected future.
A special session titled “Connecting India, Empowering the North East,” led by Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Minister of Communications and Development of North-Eastern Region, underscored the government’s focus on regional development aligned with Nagaland’s aspirations.
Thought leaders such as Shri Suman K. Bery, Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, and Shri Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa, discussed strategies to boost economic resilience and India’s growth trajectory toward 2047.
“The summit amplified Nagaland’s voice in India’s growth narrative,” said Shri Akuto A. Tuccu, stressing the importance of collaboration between tribal industry bodies and national stakeholders to achieve sustainable development.
Led by CII President Sanjiv Puri, Chairman and Managing Director of ITC Limited, the event provided a platform for fostering partnerships aimed at building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
