Nagaland’s first MBBS batch set to begin classes in September; admissions underway at NIMSR

Kohima, 20 August (MTNews): Classes for the first batch of MBBS in Nagaland are set to commence in the first week of September, according to information provided by the Director cum Dean of Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (NIMSR) Kohima, Prof Dr Soumya Chakraborty. She mentioned that the National Medical Commission will announce the exact date for the commencement of classes.

 

Dr Chakraborty further conveyed that NIMSR has successfully filled 85 seats with candidates from Nagaland and 15 seats through the All India Quota. She also informed that the admission process for the first batch of MBBS, which comprises 100 seats, commenced today and will run until the 28th of this month at the Academic Block on the NIMSR Campus.

 

Additionally, Dr Chakraborty shared that the state counseling for MBBS took place on 18 August 2023.
