MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today stated that “Nagas champion in blame game” as many tend to blame the government for not achieving their desired goals.

MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu with wrestlers and officials during the 31st Chozuba Range Wrestling Meet 2026 at Chozuba Town in Phek district on January 21.

“Just because one does not achieve his or her desired goal, one should not blame the government,” he said while addressing the 31st Chozuba Range Wrestling Meet 2026 at Chozuba Town in Phek district.

“When we do not achieve our desired goal, we blame the government. When there is a disaster caused by natural calamity, we also blame the government. Now, regarding the lack of solution or settlement on the Indo-Naga political issue, we have started to blame the government,” Azo said.

Stating that such attitudes are totally unacceptable, he added, “Instead of blaming one another, we should learn to come together and work in the greater interest of our society.”

“Time has come for us to realize that we are not achieving our desired goal because Nagas have declined morally and spiritually,” he said. “Let us commit ourselves to God first; then we will see visible changes.”

Azo also noted that under the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio, sports, being one of the biggest industries, has received significant attention and investment. “However, we still lack achieving our desired goal not because of the government but because of lack of moral and spiritual health,” he added.
