Mokokchung, June 11(MTNews): Sentilong Ozukum, SDO (Civil) Mokokchung, estimated that Nagas must have spent about Rs.700 crores on coaching expenses in other states during the years 2000-2020. He said this while speaking at the inauguration of Insight NPSC Coaching Centre, Mokokchung Branch located at Arkong ward, Mokokchung on 11 June.
He further weighed that the results were not proportionate to the amount of money spent by students on attending coaching classes as there has not been many successful candidates to clear the UPSC exams.
Saying that every year, many talented students graduate from Mokokchung’s three colleges, Sentilong Ozukum expressed satisfaction as they cannow obtain coaching classes from Insight Coaching Centre without having to go to different states or localities. He also hoped that the new coaching centrewould also cater to pupils from other districts.
According to Likokba, founder of Insight NPSC Coaching Centre, Mokokchung Branch, the centre was launched in Mokokchung as the town serves as the nerve centre for many other districts. He stated that each batch will only have 20 pupils enrolled.
The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor of Mokokchung Town Baptist Church.
