Salulamang, September 17 (MTNews): National Campaign on Poshan Abhiyan and Tree Plantation was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Mokokchung on 17th September 2022 in Salulamang Village.
The inaugural program was led by Moainla Longkumer (TO) and the keynote address delivered by Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Mokokchung. A short speech was delivered by S. Meren, Chairman, Village Council Salulamang while vote of thanks was proposed by Tokiho Achumi (ACTO, Agronomy). During the program, seeds provided by IFFCO, pea, brocolli, beetroot, tomato and saplings of ornamental plants were distributed to the participants.
In the technical session, awareness on nutritional garden with special reference to package of practices recommendation of the seeds supplied was given by Khekali Sema, ACTO (Horti), and biofortified crops by Imtisenla, ACTO (Agronomy) while Tokiho Achumi, ACTO (Agronomy) shared on nutri-cereals and their role on human health.
The program ended with plantation of tree saplings along the main road to the village. Altogether 71 participants attended the program along with public leaders and KVK officials.
