Mokokchung, 1 July (MTNews): On the occasion of National Doctors Day, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton expressed their heartfelt greetings and appreciation to all medical doctors for their unwavering commitment and service to society.

 

National Doctors Day, celebrated across the country, holds a special place as it commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy, a distinguished physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal. Dr Roy was not only a renowned doctor but also a prominent politician, freedom fighter, and advocate for education.

 

In a tweet, Rio thanked the doctors for their commitment to the society’s health and well-being. Rio further said, “We honour and celebrate their resilience and invaluable contribution towards humanity.” Meanwhile, Patton appreciated the immense dedication and relentless effort put in by healthcare heroes and thanked every doctor for their service.
