Lumami, 12 June (MTNews): A National Workshop on the significance of Yoga in the lives of common people was inaugurated today under the joint aegis of Nagaland University and the Inter University Center for Yogic Sciences, Bengaluru. The workshop, organized from 12 to 20 June aims to explore the various aspects of Yoga and its benefits.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of Vice-Chancellor, Prof Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, who inaugurated the workshop. Esteemed guests including Registrar Dr Abemo, Finance Officer Albert Khizho, Deputy Director (Sports) Dr Harish Kumar Tiwari, Prof Ashutosh Tripathi, and other faculty members, employees, and students of the university were also in attendance.

 

During the event, Prof Mithilesh Kumar Sinha, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, enlightened the participants about the practical and technical aspects of Yoga. Prof Jagdish Kumar Patnaik, in his address, emphasized the importance of Yoga and encouraged all university members to actively participate in the workshop.

 

The concluding ceremony of the workshop will take place on 20 June. As the inaugural day of the workshop came to a close, the participants expressed their enthusiasm and gratitude towards the organizers for providing such an enriching platform. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ashish Kumar, the PRO (i/c), who expressed appreciation to all the attendees and highlighted the importance of practicing Yoga for a harmonious and balanced life.
