Zunheboto, 15 January (MTNews): Nehru Yuva Kendra Zunheboto, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, celebrated National Youth Day and Youth Week 2024 on January 12, 2024.

DC Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS, addressing the gathering, stated that National Youth Day is celebrated every year on January 12 to honor the birthday of Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s greatest spiritual and social leaders. He emphasized that the day is dedicated to inspiring young minds, promoting education, and encouraging community service. Mali also provided insights into Swami Vivekananda’s inspiring journey as a monk, philosopher, author, and religious teacher. He urged the youth to cultivate predetermined and positive thinking for future success in any field they pursue. Additionally, Mali shared his tremendous experience in becoming an IAS officer and cautioned the youth against involvement in drug-related activities, emphasizing their role as future leaders.
In the keynote address, Zakato L. Zhimomi highlighted the upcoming events of International Youth Week, which include Cultural Day, Participation Day, Social Service Day, Physical Fitness Day, Youth for Peace Day, Skill Development Day, and Awareness Day.
