Dimapur, 24 April (MTNews): The Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) has announced the selection trials for the junior boys’ basketball team that will participate in the 74th Junior National Basketball Championship.
The championship is scheduled to take place from 8th to 14th May in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, and will feature the top junior basketball talents from across the country.
The trials will be conducted at two venues. The Dimapur trials will take place on 26th April 2024 at JVF Basketball Court, Signal Angami, starting from 3 pm. The Kohima trials will be held at the Don Bosco HSS Basketball Court on 27th April 2024, beginning at 2 pm. NBA has requested all players to report for trials with their full kit, original birth certificates, and Aadhar cards.
According to the official notification from the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), only players born on or after 1st January 2006 are eligible to participate, as informed by NBA. Furthermore, players should ensure that their birth certificates were obtained either in the year of their birth or within 5 years of their birth, it added.
