The gathering commenced with a devotion by Dr. Villo Naleo, Secretary, Social Concern, NBCC, who shared on “Extolling Christian Fellowship” based on Hebrews 10:22-25. He posed the question of why Christians congregate, emphasizing that fellowship draws believers nearer to God and strengthens their resolve to hold unswervingly to their faith. Dr. Naleo stressed that the intention of Christian fellowship is to spur one another to love and encourage one another regularly.

Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, General Secretary, NBCC, spoke on “From Routine to Renewal.” He highlighted that routine is not the enemy of renewal but a pathway to it. He explained that spiritual dryness and burnout often stem from unexamined routine. Renewal in ministry involves the work of the Holy Spirit, restoring passion, strength, and alignment with God’s purpose, moving leaders from weariness to vitality and ensuring their ministry bears lasting fruit.

Special musical performances were presented by full-time ministers of Khiamniungan Baptist Church and Yimkhiung Baptist Church, Kohima, alongside NBCC staff.

The program featured sessions by several church leaders. Arep Tzudir, Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo, spoke on “Ministry Through Relationships,” emphasizing living out the Gospel authentically and fostering shared joy in congregations. Dr. L. Botoholi Yeptho, Associate Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church, delivered a talk on “Staying True to the Call,” urging leaders to embrace their God-given potential, remain steadfast amidst struggles, and avoid comparing themselves with others.

Rev. Iringtie Kauring, Pastor, Zeme Baptist Church, Midland, addressed “Integrity and Transparency in Ministry,” highlighting that ministry should focus on character formation rather than status. Megozeno Savino, Youth Pastor, Union Baptist Church, Kohima, spoke on “Knowing the Sheep: Leading with Compassion and Discernment,” stressing that effective ministry flows from one’s relationship with Jesus and requires prayerful, compassionate leadership.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by A. Bideno Kikon, Secretary, Christian Education, NBCC, and Rev. Dr. Ruokuovilie Sachü, President, KBPF. The closing prayer was offered by Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, Pastor, Chakhesang Baptist Church, Ministers’ Hill. The event provided a platform for renewal, reflection, and encouragement for full-time Baptist ministers in Kohima.

This comprehensive gathering is expected to strengthen leadership, fellowship, and service among Baptist ministers, fostering a more vibrant and spiritually aligned ministry in the region.
