Kohima, 20 January (MTNews): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has officially released the schedule for the upcoming Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) and High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examinations 2024.
According to the notification issued by NBSE, the HSSLC Examination is scheduled to take place from 12 February to 6 March 2024, while the HSLC Examination will be held from 13 February to 23 February 2024. Simultaneously, the Class XI Promotion Examination is set to occur during the same period from 12tFebruary to 6 March 2024 in the afternoon, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
In the HSSLC Examination, a total of 17,911 candidates have enrolled, with 14,167 in Arts, 949 in Commerce, and 2,521 in Science. These candidates will be taking their exams across 68 examination centers. Additionally, 274 candidates are slated to appear under the Compartmental category at 20 designated examination centers.
For the HSLC Examination 2024, a total of 22,136 candidates will be appearing for the exam, with 95 examination centers facilitating the process. Out of these, 449 candidates will also undertake the HSLC Compartmental Examination 2024 at 16 examination centers.
Meanwhile, a total of 20,166 students have enrolled for the Class XI Promotion Examination and are set to appear across 185 registered higher secondary schools throughout the state.
Design of Question Papers and Blueprint of Question Papers for HSLC and HSSLC Examinations 2024 has been uploaded in the Board’s portal (www.nbsenl.edu.in) in December 2023 to familiarize the students with the Board’s question pattern so that students can do their preparations accordingly. “Heads of Institutions and teachers are once again reminded to visit the Board’s portal and check the designs and blueprint of the subjects and guide the students on these matters,” the NBSE informed.
NBSE has also reminded the Heads of Institutions that utmost care must be taken to see that no error is committed while uploading the Internal Assessment marks of the students to the Board’s portal as and when it is opened for submission of the marks.
The Board also reminded the candidates to adhere to the list of permitted and barred items during the examinations. Permitted items include the original Admit Card, School Identity Card, stationery items (Transparent Pouch, Geometry/Pencil Box, Blue/Royal Blue Ball Point/Gel Pen, Scale, Writing Board, Eraser, Analogue Watch), and transparent water bottles.
Barred items encompass any communication devices, stationery items that may aid in unfair means, personal accessories, and any opened or packed eatables, except for diabetic candidates.
Barred stationery items include any textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Calculator, Pen Drives, Electronics Pen/Scanner, etc. while barred communication devices include mobile phone, Bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, camera, etc.
Students have been reminded to refrain from any kind of mal-practices during the examinations. Candidates are also advised to reach the examination centres in time by moving out early from home.
