The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has instructed all educational institutions in the state to formally declare their campuses, along with areas within a 500-metre radius, as “Drug-Free Zones.”
The directive has been issued in compliance with instructions from the Narcotics Control Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
As part of the directive, schools have been asked to prominently display signboards and awareness materials at entry and exit points, as well as within campus premises.
Institutions have also been directed to facilitate screening and voluntary testing of students and staff while ensuring confidentiality.
