Candidates missing HSLC or HSSLC exams due to COVID-19 can reappear

Mokokchung, March 3 (MTNews): In view of the ensuing board exams, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified that a candidate of HSLC or HSSLC examination 2022, who could not appear the examination in a subject or some subject(s) on being tested Covid-19 positive would be allowed to reappear the examination, while students who had to go for Covid-19 testing and missed the examination but are in possession of Covid-19 negative report would also be allowed.

 

It stated that a Covid-19 positive candidate, on being tested negative again, would be allowed to sit for remaining subject(s) which he/she could not appear earlier after producing a Covid-19 negative report duly certified by the Medical department. In such cases, the center superintendents are asked to make necessary arrangements to let the candidate sit in a separate room by maintaining SOPs.

 

It stated that the examination dates and center for those candidates would be notified at a later date. It added that no fees would be realized for those categories of students.

 

It also stated that candidates should apply officially to the board stating the subject(s) which he/she intends to appear along with a photocopy of their admit card. The application of the student should be duly forwarded by the respective superintendent of the examination centers of HSLC/HSSLC 2022 via email to nagaboard@gmail.com

 

For HSLC examination, the application should be submitted within March 29, while for HSSLC examination, the application should be submitted within April 6.
All the center superintendents and heads of institutions have been asked to disseminate the information to those categories of candidates.

 

NBSE informed that it would be a one-time measure to ensure that the candidates are not deprived of appearing in the HSLC and HSSLC examinations 2022.

 

It further stated that examinations would be conducted by strictly adhering to the standard operating procedure (SOP) issued by the government dated February 19 for the conduct of HSLC and HSSLCexaminations 2022.
