NBSE instructs institutions to celebrate Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel birthday through ‘Unity Run’

Mokokchung, October 26 (MTNews): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed all institutions registered under NBSE that, in accordance with the directive of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the “Unity Run” may be organized in all schools across the country for all classes and age groups this year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on October 31, 2022.

Students have been asked to run for short or long distances, depending on their feasibility and convenience, where the Run may precede/coincide with the morning assembly/zero period/start of day in schools, preferably at 7-8 AM on October 31, 2022.

The institutions have also been instructed to request that the Principal, senior faculty member(s), or students speak about Sardar Patel and his role in national integration whenever possible, either at the beginning or end of the run.

Schools/college magazines, websites, and WhatApps groups of all classes have been asked to publicize the event, and institutions have been encouraged to invite students’ families and the local community to participate in the run wherever possible.

As a special outreach, the institutions have been asked to make an effort to ensure that street children and children from marginalized areas (including Children with Special Needs) participate in the Run.
Photos of the activity should also be shared on social media with the hashtag #RunForUnity.

Furthermore, activities such as debates and speeches on Sardar Patel’s contribution to India’s unity; Sardar Patel-themed school assemblies and Sardar Patel-themed exhibitions in all schools across the state have also been encouraged to organize in all schools across the states.

Also, the digital version of the exhibition content has been requested to be shared with all students via social media platforms and school websites.

As a result, all institutions have been asked to organise the above activities and submit a report to unityrunnagaland@gmail.com by November 1st, 2022, for submission to the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
