Kohima, December 3 (MTNews): In an effort to create inclusive education, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has launched a chatbot, an online tool on its website today for Specific Learning Disabilities (SLDs) in honor of International Day of Disabled Persons.

NBSE said the SLD Helpdesk is a chatbot that will provide support to parents, teachers, and students and address queries related to SLDs such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and dyspraxia.
It has been developed in partnership with non-profit ChangeInkk Foundation in Delhi and can be accessed on the Board’s portal nbsenl.edu.in.

NBSE has requested schools to avail all information regarding SLDs for identifying such students, and asked Heads of Institutions to disseminate the facility to teachers and students.

New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) & the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act 2016 both recognize Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) and stress the importance of creating inclusive education for this population.
