The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) held its 7th Annual General Meeting at the NCA Conference Room on September 26, with discussions focusing on strengthening district-level cricket and expanding opportunities for players and stakeholders across the state.
The meeting was chaired by NCA President Watinuksung Jamir, who welcomed the delegates and appreciated their continued contribution to the development of cricket in Nagaland. The invocation was pronounced by Imlikumzuk, President, Mokokchung District Cricket Association.
The Secretary’s Report and Treasurer’s Report for the financial year 2025-26 were presented and adopted by the House. Motions submitted by various District Cricket Associations were also tabled for consideration and deliberation.
The House discussed matters related to the promotion and development of cricket across the districts, with emphasis on strengthening district-level activities and ensuring sustained growth of the sport.
A special felicitation was accorded to Watinuksung Jamir for his appointment as Team Manager of the Indian Cricket Team for the India Tour of Sri Lanka Test Series 2026. Members congratulated him on the responsibility and expressed their appreciation.
The meeting reaffirmed the NCA’s commitment to working with District Cricket Associations and other stakeholders to strengthen the state’s cricketing structure and create greater opportunities at all levels.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by NCA Vice President Khamongo Humtsoe.
