Mokokchung, 23 July (MTNews): The Naga Christian Fellowship Bangalore (NCFB) came together in unison to commemorate Cultural Sunday on 23 July.
Every year, members of NCF Bangalore proudly don their colorful traditional attire, exuding a deep-rooted sense of pride in their distinct identity and heritage, an update issued by NCFB Media Team said.
“We honor our origins and embrace the cultural tapestry that has stood the test of time. It is our duty to carry the mantle of our culture and traditions wherever we go, becoming ambassadors of our rich heritage,” Pastor of NCF Bangalore, Nikato Yeptho said.
Sentsuthung Odyuo, president of the Naga Students’ Union, Bangalore said the celebration fosters a strong sense of unity and brotherhood among Nagas. He further stressed on the importance of preserving and cherishing one’s cultural roots.
The event came alive with the vibrant participation of the Chakhesang, Angami, Ao, Sumi Students’ Unions, and the Eastern Naga Students’ Union, who presented a mesmerizing display of traditional songs, showcasing the richness of their cultural expressions, the update said.
Rev Yarngam Muivah, Pastor of Tangkhul Naga Baptist Church Bangalore, graced the occasion with his enlightening speech on cultural wisdom and kingdom values, while Rev Dr KH Reihe, Pastor of Poumai Naga Baptist Church, led a heartfelt prayer dedicated to the Naga community.
