Mokokchung, 5 May (MTNews): The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU), while extending its cooperation and support to the present State government, has urged the government to bring out yearly work programs of all the Departments regularly. It also suggested that the best performing department be given a befitting award on a regular basis.

“The NCSU is sincerely concerned about the problem of educated unemployed Naga youths today in view of the fact that job opportunities in Government institutions are almost exhausted, whereas more and more educated unemployed youths are coming for registration themselves with NCSU for self-employment avenue,” the NCSU said in its press release.

On this matter, the NCSU appealed to the state government to redress the plights of its bona fide members through proper award of contract and supply works.

In the same press release, the NCSU also extended congratulations to Neiphiu Rio for assuming the prestigious office of the Chief Minister of Nagaland for the fifth consecutive term.

NCSU president Pele Khezhie and general secretary John Kath also complimented the NDPP-BJP pre-poll alliance for having retained the political power in the state with a comfortable majority for the second consecutive term. It also lauded all the 60 elected members who won the last assembly general elections constituting the 14th House of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.

It hoped that the incumbent government headed under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio would bring in more developments throughout the state based on justice and impartiality.
